Russell L. Legg, MD, is a fellowship trained interventional pain management physician who specializes in the treatment of both acute and chronic pain. He completed his ACGME accredited training in both anesthesiology and pain management. His philosophy is to approach pain through a combination of rehabilitation exercises, procedural interventions, medications, and when necessary surgical interventions with the goal to optimize pain relief and functionality. He has a wide variety of experience and treats: painful conditions of the spine, musculoskeletal conditions of the upper and lower extremities, headaches, cancer pain and even internal organ pain. His skill set includes fluoroscopically guided spine injections and radiofrequency ablations, ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injections and he personally performs implantable pain device trials and surgeries for the more complex cases.
Dr. Legg received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology followed by a Masters Degree in Nutritional Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He received his Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and remained there to complete a residency in Anesthesiology. He then completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Toledo. Dr. Legg is board eligible in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.
